ASSISTANT CONTROLLER - FINANCIAL REPORTING

Primary Objective

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements
  • Preparation of period end accruals
  • Accountability for hedge accounting transactions
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting package
  • General ledger maintenance
  • Coordination with external auditors on year-end audit procedures
  • Financial statement trend analysis
  • Manage constant communication involving internal and external contacts to ensure day to day issues are resolved
  • Assistance with continued streamlining of accounting systems and processes
  • Other accounting duties for period closing as necessary
  • Ability to research technical accounting matters
  • Ad hoc project assistance as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree strongly preferred
  • CPA
  • Experience in Oil and Gas Upstream is a must
  • Public company experience strongly preferred
  • Big 4 experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and think logically
  • Must maintain high level of quality performance and professionalism in the workplace at all times.
  • Professional demeanor, poise and good communication skills are essential;
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects
